Feature Friday: 6/19/15
Hey everyone! This Feature Friday is all about Father's Day gifts. If you hurry, you just might be able to whip a few of these up in time to give to dad!
Here's what I made for my dad this year. We're huge Dallas Cowboys fans, so I made a Tunisian stitch pillow using a graph of the logo. I also made him some slippers in the team colors!
1. Two-Tone Charleston Pumps by Crafted From Stories
This is the pattern I used for the slippers above. It's actually a pattern for women's slippers, but by leaving off the strap and using one color, they can be adjusted for men! I love how simple and easily adjusted they are. I also made a pair for my mom! View and download the free pattern here: Two-Tone Charleston Pumps
2. Tee Bag by Priscilla's Crochet
This is a great idea for a dad that is an avid golfer, like mine. It holds a bunch of golf tees, and folded up it looks like a tea bag! Find the free pattern here: Tee Bag
3. Zelda Triforce Hat by April Draven
I plan to make one of these for my husband. It's perfect for the geeky dad, or any lover of Legend of Zelda! Find the free crochet pattern here: Zelda Triforce Hat
4. Tie Eyeglass Case by Country Living
I think this idea is so smart and nifty. With just a tie, a few sewing tools, and a bit of velcro, you can make a neat case for dad's glasses! Find the how-to here: Tie Eyeglass Case (Look for slide #16)
5. 11 Hat Patterns for Men & Boys by The Crochet Cafe
This last link is a great compilation put together by The Crochet Cafe. There are links to 11 hat patterns for men. You're sure to find something to suit any dad! Find the post here: 11 Hat Patterns for Men & Boys
I love all of these patterns, and some of them I'm even saving for future Father's Days. Now, go make something to show Dad how much you care!
